Gov. Ugwuanyi swears in two commissioners, speaks on vacancies in boards of parastatals, institutions

Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State on Friday swore in Mrs. Eucharia Uche Offor and Prince Emeka Mamah as commissioners in his cupboard.

Mrs. Offor, who was the rapid previous commissioner for finance, resigned her place to contest for the Peoples Democratic Social gathering (PDP) ticket for Igbo-Etiti/Uzo-Uwani Federal Constituency, whereas Prince Mamah, who served as the previous Particular Adviser to ex-Governor Sullivan Chime on Transport, vied for a similar ticket in Igbo-Eze North/ Udenu Federal Constituency.

Swearing within the new commissioners, Gov. Ugwuanyi said that the choice was “to fortify the equipment of presidency and additional improve good governance and repair supply in Enugu State”.

The governor hinted that in furtherance of the above, “measures will quickly be taken to fill all present vacancies within the composition of the boards of assorted parastatals and institutions within the state”.

Congratulating the newly sworn in commissioners on their “properly deserved appointments”, Gov. Ugwuanyi expressed confidence that they may deploy their wealth of expertise and experience so as to add worth to the federal government and governance of the state.

Responding, Mrs. Offor,, who spoke on their behalf, expressed gratitude to the governor for locating them worthy to serve in his administration and the individuals of Enugu State, pledging their loyalty and dedication to the development of peace and good governance within the state.
