The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Celebration, PDP, Atiku Abubakar has condemned President Muhammadu Buhari’s refusal to sign the Electoral Amendment Bill.
Buhari had for the third time withheld his assent to the invoice.
This was disclosed by Buhari’s Senior Particular Assistant on Nationwide Meeting Issues (Senate), Senator Ita Enang.
Addressing State Home Correspondents on the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Enang refused to state Buhari’s causes for his motion.
Atiku on his Twitter web page, urged Nigerians to not take President Buhari assurance of a free and honest 2019 election severely.
The previous Vice President acknowledged that Buhari has once more missed a possibility to satisfy his promise to Nigerians.
Atiku wrote: “President, assurances that your administration will conduct free, honest and credible elections can’t be taken severely.
“For Nigerians and particularly us within the opposition, you simply missed a possibility to stroll the discuss.”
