On the red carpet at the 2023 BET Awards, Boosie Badazz, Redman, and Erick Sermon all commented on the ongoing conflict between Pusha T and Jim Jones. The two responded to the recent altercation between the two rappers in a conversation with HipHopDX.
Boosie responded to a question regarding Jones’ diss track with: “No, I didn’t hear it, but I heard he didn’t like the verse right? I have no idea [who would win]. However, that conflict would be interesting. In addition, Redman said: “I heard some of Pusha T’s joint, but I ain’t hear Jim yet – but I know when Jim puts his mind to it, he goes in.”
Sermon stated of Jim’s diss record, “It wasn’t bad. “However, I was also surprised since Jim arrived late once more. It was great in terms of the lyrics and the rhyme he delivered. Pusha T, though, is a true lyricist.
Jim Jones and Pusha T have been at odds ever since Jones claimed that Pusha should not have been included on Billboard’s list of the “Top 50 Greatest Rappers” back in April. Pusha retaliated by criticizing Jones in a brand-new Clipse song that was premiered during Pharrell’s first Louis Vuitton concert last week after the remark lingered with him. In reaction, Jones finally released a diss tune directed at Pusha.
Boosie talks about Jim Jones vs. Pusha T
Not just Boosie and Redman have voiced their opinions about the Pusha T-Jim Jones conflict. Recently, Charlamagne claimed that Pusha T could not be defeated by Jones’ insult. He remarked, “I don’t think that’s enough. “I think you should just drop the nuke if you shoot at Pusha, in my opinion. You cannot simply fire. Just drop the nuclear bomb right now. If Pusha responds, Pusha will proceed in that manner. Pusha is going to detonate a nuke off the top, going on how he has previously responded.
