Kathy Barbagallo Death And Obituary – At the age of 62, Kathy (Wasickanin) Barbagallo of Syracuse, New York, passed away peacefully in her own home on March 13, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. On May 25, 1960.
Her parents, George and Annette Wasickanin, welcomed her into the world in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. She was in charge of managing the household finances. He worked a lot of parties and banquets while operating his firm for a number of years. Kathy led a diverse life, engaging in a range of activities and hobbies over the course of her lifetime. She could be seen playing golf, pool, skiing, or spending time with her family, as those who knew her well knew. She also cherished spending time honing her numerous other craft-making abilities. She had great pleasure in a wide range of artistic pursuits, such as oil painting, glass fusing, rock painting, pottery making, and creating Ukrainian Easter eggs.
Kathy was always exploring for new ways to exhibit her creativity, and the people she cared about most enjoyed the gifts she made for them. She never hesitated to make others feel special and valued, and she always seemed to know just the appropriate gift to give them. Kathy had an endless supply of compassion and generosity, and she was incredibly kind and thoughtful. Every time you visited Kathy, she made you feel welcome and brought joy to everyone who had the wonderful fortune to be a part of her life.
Her children Matthew, Katie, Daniel, Michelle (Kevin), and Jennifer Barbagallo; her twin brother Karl (Linda) Wasickanin; her brother George Wasickanin; a sister, Susan (Robert) Wasickanin; and her parents, George and Annette Wasickanin, make up Kathy’s family. She has been married to Alfred Barbagallo for 34 years. Family and guests are invited to call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME on Friday, March 17, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

The funeral service honoring Kathy’s life will be held at the Cicero United Methodist Church, which was her place of worship, at 9:30 am on Saturday, March 18, 2023, following a prayer session at 8:30 am at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME. Her final resting place will be in the North Syracuse Cemetery. The family asks that donations be made in lieu of flowers to either the Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
