Naturally, Jadakiss has a hectic schedule, but that didn’t stop the musician from New York from giving back to those in need recently. He revealed on Instagram earlier this week that he visited Rikers Island and spent a day with the prisoners residing there. Jadakiss describes how they all had dinner together, played hoops, and more in a video from the visit.
He said, “We ordered a plethora of cuts and slices, pies for the inmates to enjoy themselves and have some exotic pizzas. We broke bread with the brothers.” “We engaged in mind-building activities and ball games with them. We hear you guys talking about it, man.” Jadakiss added that he didn’t receive payment for the visit; rather, he came by out of pure generosity.
According to Jadakiss, his visit came solely “from the heart”
“This is from the heart; it’s not from the White House; we came in unpaid. He remarked, “We came in and did it real.” But this isn’t the only altruistic deed Jadakiss has done recently. Mike Spano, the mayor of Yonkers, recognized him and Styles P in November of last year for their community service. Jadakiss has held a number of food drives, get-together dinners, and other events in the past.
Spano remarked during his address, “You look around and you see Styles and you see Jadakiss.” “While they are not the only two well-known alumni from Yonkers, they are the only ones that stay on to support Yonkers and give back to the community. Let’s give them some credit. What are your thoughts on Jadakiss paying a visit to the prisoners at Rikers Island? Think his visit brightened their day?
