Anthony Stankiewicz Death – We regret to inform you of the demise of Retired Sergeant Anthony (Tony) Stankiewicz, one of our own. On Tuesday, September 5, 2023, Sgt. Stankiewicz—a devoted and well-liked member of our community—left us. His legacy, created over many years of unselfish devotion, will always be visible in Streetsboro.
On August 1st, 1980, Sgt. Stankiewicz joined the Streetsboro Police Department, beginning a tremendous career devoted to protecting our community and its residents. He exemplified the true spirit of what it means to be a public servant over the course of his 15 years of steadfast dedication. Streetsboro is now a safer place to live and prosper thanks to his hard work, bravery, and dedication. We offer Sgt. Stankiewicz’s family and friends our sincere condolences as we come together to honour him. Their loss is immense, and we are praying for them as they go through this trying time.
The whole community he served and protected will feel the sadness of his absence in addition to those who knew him personally. Our message to Sgt. Stankiewicz is to “rest easy.” Even though your time on earth is over, the people you touched and the difference you made will always remember you. Your effort and commitment to keeping Streetsboro a safe and prosperous community for all of its citizens will be carried on by us.
As we say goodbye to Sgt. Stankiewicz, we are reminded of the strength of the ties formed during service and the lasting influence of a committed public worker like him. His legacy will continuously motivate us to uphold the moral principles of honesty, bravery, and selflessness that he demonstrated during his illustrious career. The residents of Streetsboro said, “Sgt. Stankiewicz, we’ll take it from here.” Your spirit will always be with us, and your legacy will continue to direct us.
