A deadly event involving all-terrain vehicle racers took place in Baja California as an armed group started shooting at them.
Witnesses said that during the vicious attack, 10 individuals died and numerous others were injured.
The incident happened in Ensenada’s southern section.
According to their report, “it is working closely with the Baja California State Attorney General’s Office at this time to support the inquiries that lead to the clarification of the facts.”
The attack against runners taking part in the “Cachanillazo” event, whose participants left the Playa Hermosa neighborhood this morning, was mourned by Mayor Armando Ayala Robles.

Additionally, surveillance was stepped up in the delegates of the municipality’s southern region, and search efforts for the attack’s perpetrators are still ongoing, according to him.
He acknowledged the assistance of Ricardo Iván Carpio Sánchez, the State Attorney General, who appointed a special inquiry team to look into this regrettable occurrence. According to the municipal police, a complaint of many injuries and firearm detonations was received around 2:18 p.m.
The report also stated that a recent model gray van arrived in the vicinity of kilometer 90 in the vicinity of the San Vicente delegation, from which individuals stepped out and started firing long weapons at the runners who were parked.
Assisting with the situation were representatives from the municipal police, state citizen security force, secretary of the navy, state investigation agency (AEI), secretary of national defense, fire department, and Mexican Red Cross.

The State Attorney General’s Office is reacting to the report of an attack against civilians reported in the town of San Vicente, in the municipality of Ensenada, Baja California, in collaboration with SEDENA, SEMAR, the State Citizen Security Force (FESC), and the Ensenada Municipal Police.
The incident took place at the peak of the hamlet of San Vicente, which is south of the municipality of Ensenada, according to the state attorney general, Ricardo Iván Carpio Sánchez, necessitating the mobilization of the three levels of government to identify the perpetrators.
He stated that a special investigation team is traveling to the town in question in order to support the work being done by the various corporations there and apprehend those responsible for the attack, who, according to initial accounts, fled in two vans.
