Ben Fonseca Death – Sadly, Ben Fonseca, a well-known baseball instructor and director of player development, has gone away. “It is with a heavy heart that the boys and I share with you that Ben passed away early this morning,” the social media statement announcing his death said. He fought such a valiant battle for so long, as the majority of you were aware. Ben took the most courageous action of his life. He saw that it was time to relax, and he did so in true warrior form. He shut his eyes and trusted God to handle the rest.
What caused Ben Fonseca’s demise?
Ben received a serious systemic sclerosis diagnosis in 2017, as per a GoFundMe page. The skin and internal organs are affected by this autoimmune disorder. Ben has experienced numerous illnesses affecting other important organs in addition to a heart attack after receiving his diagnosis. In 2018, he miraculously recovered from what appeared to be the worst health decline in a short period of time. Ben’s health has gotten worse ever since, and the scleroderma has been coming back. Ben has been hospitalized more frequently in the last year due to the illness.
Ben Fonseca: who was he?
Prior to joining the Zoned Sports Academy, Ben Fonseca was a scout for the Milwaukee Brewers and coach for the Somerset Patriots. Fonseca is well-known in the Northeastern baseball and softball communities, and he is a leader in player development with a plethora of knowledge and experience.
In his years as a coach and player developer, he has worked with a range of training organizations, studied all skill levels, and employed a wide range of training techniques. These experiences have given him the ability to develop players of all ages. Ben continues to bolster his résumé with championships and a wealth of coaching expertise at various levels. He has taken home titles from Professional Championships, Div 1, AABC, and Babe Ruth Leagues.
Concerning Ben Fonseca
Since leaving the collegiate ranks, Ben has served as a Player Development Director in every role that he has had. He worked as the Player Development Director for Central Jersey Sports, Diamond Nation, the Atlantic League, and the Somerset Patriots. Ben possesses all the qualities of a top-notch professional trainer, including expertise, self-assurance, compassion, experience, and most importantly, a love for the sport. Major League clubs and the US Women’s National Softball team use a training bat that Ben designed specifically for softball and baseball. Ben was a cherished uncle, brother, parent, and coach. Benny, Mason, and Sage were his three children, and he was devoted to them all. He lived in Kendall Park, New Jersey, and was a native of Rock Island, Illinois.
