Despite Nottingham Forest's defeat to Manchester United, Awoniyi makes history

After scoring against Manchester United on Saturday, Taiwo Awoniyi became the first Nottingham Forest player to score in seven consecutive Premier League games.

Forest’s Awoniyi scored in the second minute at Old Trafford.

The Nigerian international grabbed the ball inside his own half, went through on goal, and slotted the ball past Andre Onana.

The 26-year-old is also the only African to have scored in seven straight Premier League games, joining Emmanuel Adebayor and Mohamed Salah.

Nottingham Forest’s second goal was scored by Willy Bolly.

Manchester United came back to win 3-2.

Manchester United had goals from Christian Eriksen, Casemiro, and Bruno Fernandes.
