Yes, I am OSHODI AYODEJI Francis, But stage name OSHODI
Can you brief us about your family background?
I was born into a polygamous family of two wives with 7 children,
I am the last born and only son of my mother to my father,
My mum had 3 children for my dad.
My dad is late
Can you brief us about your educational background?
I am a current 500level student of the department of Soil Science in Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma Edo state
What made you choose your surname as your stage name?
I choose my surname as my stage name because most people think it’s funny when they hear the name OSHODI and they never tend to forget,
I see the name very captivating
When did you start your musical career?
I started singing as a chorister in 2011 in church, when I gained admission into the university I formed a group of 3 men with my friends Called CAK city. We do music but not very serious with it. I became serious with my music career in 2016 because of the good response from listeners of my first official single which I tilted AMERO.
After forming my own label LEGIT GANG
How many artiste are in Legit Gang?
Currently I am the only artist under LEGIT GANG… but there are many boys around who reps legit gang…lol.
We can’t talk of signing another artiste now when one artist has not been promoted 100 percent yet
How many single have you got in total and which of them have been your HIT single since then?
Amero was my first single and my hit song
After that I joined in The Olamide Who you epp competition and that cover also helped in promoting me as a youngstar
I later dropped a track which I titled ANONYMOUS
it was another hit
I dropped mase Lau Lau Audio and video
It was this Track that made people see the talent in me and my latest single is Omo ORIJIN
Therefore my single in total is 4 tracks
What’s your main source of inspiration?
My main source of inspiration is God because I just see myself do what I do best and that is music, Music is in me
Which famous artist do you admire?
I admire Meek Mill a lot because he is a great representation of the street and that’s what I portray
The biggest show you’ve performed at?
A Christmas Street Carnival in Lagos, 2016
At Satellite town Abule Ado area of Lagos state
We learnt you are working on your debut EP titled Da EP Focus. Can you tell us something about it?
Yes, Since I am in my final year in school, with about 2 to 3 months to graduate, I thought of life after school as an Artiste and decided to put up a compilation of some dope tracks in the EP
Which I can promote after graduation. FOCUS Da EP consist of 12 tracks
And I titled it FOCUS because I want to focus on my music career 100 percent after leaving school
The EP can tell a little about me when it’s out
Do you get nervous before a performance?
I don’t usually get nervous before a performance because I believe I am up there to do me
So I grab the microphone anytime and deliver what I have for them because I know i have a lot to give out.
When should we be expecting a new track from you?
I am not planning on dropping any single for now. What I want to give to the street is my EP. FOCUS da EP
How was your relationship with Kola Banks?
He is a brother to me
And he has been so supportive hence he is my manager
We learnt you will be performing at Zinwestta Live Season 2 in Adeyemi College Of Education ONDO, What should your fans there be expecting?
Yes, I am coming there with lot of loads….I say to all my fans and everybody that will be live at the show should expect the best from me. I am not a superstar yet but I can never disappoint them.
