Colfax High School Lockdown – In response to a reported security threat, Colfax High School immediately implemented a lockdown, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students, staff, and members of the school community. The school has demonstrated its commitment to prioritizing the security of its occupants and rapidly resolving any hazards by acting swiftly in response to the security issue.
Due to an unauthorized person on campus, Colfax Elementary and Colfax High Schools are both on full lockdown. Avoid going near the schools.
13:53: The status for Elementary is now “shelter in place.”
Lifting the shelter in place at 14:01. Both campuses are still being patrolled by deputies. The suspect has been seen leaving the area multiple times.

Both the faculty and the students are still safe. We kindly request that all families pick up their student(s) at the school before 2:30 p.m. Come to the office, and we will make arrangements for the student to be picked up by calling the classroom. Care after school is canceled.
