Oba Lekan Balogun, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, congratulated Dr. Alex Anozie on his 26th anniversary as the Eze Ndigbo of Ibadanland in Oyo State and encouraged him to continue spreading love and peace.
Since Dr. Alex Anozie was appointed the Ezendigbo of Ibadanland in 1997, Oba Balogun stated that there has been notable peace between the Igbo and Yoruba ethnic groupings without any substantial hostility.
In a letter sent to the Igbo king in honour of his coronation, Oba Balogun gave him advice to keep advocating for Nigeria’s prosperity and togetherness.
I bring you royal greetings from the palace as I congratulate you and the Igbo community on your recent 26th anniversary as Eze Ndigbo, leading your people in a way that honours God. Olubadan stated.
Since you became the Eze Ndigbo 26 years ago, it is noteworthy that the Igbo people and their Yoruba hosts have been coexisting amicably and without hostility. This is admirable and a result of your astute leadership.
It is my prayer that the Almighty God will grant you long life and good health so that you can continue to lead your people as you have been doing and make more contributions to humanity through your God-given knowledge. “As you march forward, I implore you to remain your good self as an apostle of love and peace and an advocate of unity and progress of one Nigeria.”
