Dan Rapaport Death And Obituary – Dan Rapaport is a golf writer who presently works for Barstool Sports as a writer and podcaster. In August 2022, he made his resignation from Golf Digest public.
Rapaport began recording the Fore Play podcast and announced his participation in a blog post at the time. He said he would become “a full-time member of the Fore Play brand—podcasts, videos, merchandise, and events,” and he said he was looking forward to the “creative freedom that Barstool provides.”
Rappaport declared, “In professional golf, I’m still going to keep my feet on the ground. “I’ll keep expanding and refining my sources as I disseminate the news. I’ll keep providing in-depth coverage of the key events happening around the globe. I’ll continue to seek out fascinating tales to follow.
He has starred in numerous videos for the company, including the one below, where we can see that he is also an accomplished golfer. His handicap, in our opinion, is close to zero.
Rapaport spent four years, from 2013 to 2017, studying journalism at Northwestern University. His first job out of college was with the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League as an intern in community relations. He did it for three months before moving on to work for ABC News as a writer intern, helping with production on well-known programs including Good Morning America.
After working as an intern at various other businesses, he eventually joined ESPN as an editorial intern. In 2016, he worked in this capacity for three months before being elevated to the positions of academic intern and writer/journalist for the renowned sports company. He performed this for nine months and over the course of two years moved up the ladder to writer-editor.
Rapaport was then hired in October 2019 as a staff writer for Golf Digest, a publication that covered a wide range of topics. His LinkedIn account lists the following as examples:
writes in-depth articles about the PGA Tour, players, features, analyses, forecasts, and human tales for GolfDigest.com and Golf Digest Magazine while traveling the world.
As “Tiger Correspondent” for Golf Digest, I track Woods’ pursuit of excellence in this period of his career. As chief match editor, I follow and collaborate with Woods at every game, distilling his wisdom into actionable advice for our readers.
Rapaport is currently employed by Barstool Sports and may be seen in the newest golf documentary series Full Swing on Netflix.
