According to authorities, a house fire in western Arkansas early Wednesday morning claimed the lives of three individuals, including two students, and a five-year-old.
Shortly after midnight, Greenwood Police responded to the incident, according to a Facebook post. According to police, the fire claimed the lives of Daniel Isaiah Arrington, 18, Vivian Medrano, 5, and their mother, Wendy Medrano, 46. A fourth individual was hospitalized with critical injuries, but police did not name them.
According to police, the cause of the fire was being investigated, and the remains of the victims had been taken to the state crime lab.
