Khaled Muhammad Khaled, better known by his stage name DJ Khaled, is an American DJ, record executive, record producer, and rapper. He was born on November 26, 1975.
Khaled first gained notoriety in the 1990s as a host on the 99 Jamz radio station. He then increased his notoriety by DJing the live performances of the hip-hop group Terror Squad. Khaled’s debut album, Listennn… the Album, was published in 2006 and became gold after he received producing credits for band content. We the Best (2007), which featured the top 20 single “I’m So Hood,” came after him. We Global (2008) and Victory (2010), his following two albums, were released after he established the record company We the Best Music Group. Both albums peaked at number ten on the US Billboard 200 list, with the latter featuring the triple-platinum hit “All I Do Is Win.”
We the Best Forever (2011), his fifth studio album, was equally commercially successful and contributed to Khaled’s international ascent because it contained the song “I’m on One,” which marked his entry into the top ten. His eighth studio album, I Changed a Lot” (2015), debuted at No. 12, whereas his sixth and seventh albums, Kiss the Ring (2012) and Suffering from Success (2013), both made it to the top ten of the Billboard 200. 5] Through his social media efforts in 2015 and 2016, Khaled rose to prominence as a media figure on a global scale. His tenth studio album, Grateful, was released in 2017. It featured the singles “I’m the One” and “Crazy Thoughts,” which respectively reached No. 1 and No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album received a platinum certification and peaked at number one on the Billboard 200. The song “Higher” from his eleventh album, Father of Asahd, which debuted in 2019, won Best Rap/Sung Performance at the 62nd Grammy Awards, marking Khaled’s first Grammy triumph.
