Glenn Coles is a leader who is change-oriented in every area of information technology. He graduated from the National Institute of Education in Anaheim, California, and the University of California, Irvine, respectively, with degrees in computer science and information technology. He has in-depth expertise and a successful track record spanning 30 years in business. He has a wealth of knowledge and a career that focuses on business transformation using emerging technologies, collaborations, and IT. Glenn was chosen for Computerworld’s Premier 100 Technology Leaders Award in 2016 in honor of his contributions to and successes in his field.
Glenn has been the vice president and chief information officer of Yamaha Motor Corporation of North America for 16 years. Glenn started his career in high-tech jobs and has subsequently had a number of IT leadership positions in the manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, healthcare, start-up, and service sectors. He participates in numerous CIO/executive advisor and advisory boards, including the CIO Roundtable at UC Irvine, the Paul Merage School of Management, and the Center for Digital Transformation. He also speaks frequently. California’s Orange County is where Glenn presently calls home.
