On Sunday, a shooting in Hartford claimed the life of one man.
In response to a ShotSpotter alarm, Hartford police were called to the area of Wawarme Avenue and Locust Street at around 11:40 p.m.
Police discovered a man in his twenties at the scene who had been shot. He was taken to Hartford Hospital, where his condition is described as stable.
When the police arrived at Hartford Hospital about the same time, they discovered a second person with a gunshot wound. He was first described as being in critical but stable health, but over the past three days, his condition has gotten worse.
He suffered injuries on Wednesday night and passed away.
The victim, Jose Angel-Morales, a 30-year-old Hartford resident, has reportedly been named.
