Jack Blotsky Death And Obituary – We are heartbroken to learn of the passing of Jack Blotsky, another member of the Hall of Fame. We want his family and friends to know that we are expressing our sincere condolences during this difficult time.
Jack Blotsky debuted at the Nodak Raceway in the Hobby Stock class in 1965, and he ran in that division up until his retirement in 1969. In 1966 and 1967, respectively, Blotsky was able to compete his way to the titles of Mid-Season runner-up, Season Champion, and Season Runner-up. From 1968 through 1970, Jack drove for Bill DeLong and Lowell Sem after moving up to the Sprint class in 1968. Jack worked for them during this period. He created, built, and raced his own Sprint car in 1971, and went on to win the Sprint Mid-Season Runner-Up prize in 1972 and 1974.
In addition, Jack served as the Nodak Raceway’s president from 1973 to 1974. Blotsky left Minot in the middle of the 1970s because of his job, but he still traveled to compete in 1975 and 1976 in Bill DeLong’s Sprint car in Grand Forks and Fargo. In 1977, he also drove a Super Stock in Great Falls, Montana.
He was competing at this point. Blotsky opened his own welding shop in Williston, where he later made his home, in 1980. In addition to competing in Super Stock racing at the Williston Basin Speedway in 1981, he also held the position of club president in that year. For more than 20 years, he intermittently served as the Williston Basin Speedway’s president. In 2010, he finally left his position. Jack has held the position of president of Williston for the longest.
