The person who recently passed away from her wounds sustained in a gunshot in mid-August while attempting to assist a neighbor was a 20-year-old Peoria woman.
According to reports, on August 11, Jakaiden Rynearson, 20, of North Great Oak Road, went to the residence on North El Vista Avenue in order to assist her friend. Stevie Linwood, Jr., Zaneta Winters’ lover, is accused of shooting her and has now been charged with both of their deaths.
“Despite aggressive medical intervention, love and support from her family and friends, and her continuous heroic fight, (Rynearson) was sadly pronounced deceased at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home on October 29, 2024, at 1:21 a.m.,” Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood wrote in a Facebook post.
As we all know Jakaiden was hero in every sense of the word, she loved helping others, which ultimately cost her the quality of life she deserved.
