Ever since its initial release in 1985, the Air Jordan 1 has been in great demand. This famous sneaker is still a fan favorite decades after its release. The popularity of the Air Jordan 1 can be ascribed to a number of things, such as its connection to basketball great Michael Jordan, its distinctive style, and its reputation as a cultural phenomenon.
Due to its scarcity, sought collaborations, and devoted following that crosses generations and subcultures, the Air Jordan 1 is still in high demand. The Air Jordan 1 “Lost And Found” will once again be available on April 20th, 2023, from 11:40AM to $180 USD on the SNKRS app. Nike has now announced this.
On April 12, 2023, Jordan Brand published a poll on the SNKRS app asking, “If we restocked the AJ1 “Chicago,” next week, would you:” Sneakerheads have two alternatives to select from.
For those who missed out on the pair the first time around, this drop is very important. Nike has received numerous requests from sneakerheads over the past few months to re-release the AJ 1 “Lost and Found.” The brand has finally re-released the pair to fans after several requests.
The black leather collar of the Air Jordan 1 “Lost And Found” is wrinkled, showing that the collar of the original Jordan 1 tends to collapse with time. The shoe also has cracks in the toe box, mid-panel, and collar. A reference to the “lost and found” aesthetic of the colorway is made by the shoe’s mismatched box cover.
The original 1985 Air Jordan 1 that was discovered decades later in a filthy storage room provided the inspiration for the design. The shoe features a distressed aesthetic, cracked leather trim, a distressed white midsole, a red outsole with a chalky white exterior to resemble the dust that sneakers are stored in, and a damaged red insole. This specific box, which appears worn and has a mismatched lid, suggests that the shoes have been misplaced in backrooms and basements. The “lost and found” concept is also present here.
