Larry Young of Boone, Iowa, died on December 11, 2023. He was 74 years old. He was born in the Boone County Hospital on April 8, 1949. His parents are Errett Young and Anita Porter.
The wedding took place at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa, on October 24, 1976.
Lawrence went to Boone High School and worked as a machinist at Heinrich Envelope Company for more than twenty-five years.

It was fun for him to play in the Industrial Park baseball tournament every year.

Larry also took care of the gardens and fixed things around the Eastern Star Masonic Home. He was very careful and could fix almost any problem someone had. This gained him a lot of respect. Whenever they needed help, they would usually ask him separately. Larry was very proud of the well-kept grounds and the bonds he made with the people who lived there.
His sister Errita Lingelbach, dad Jack Peters, mom Anita Peters, and cousins Andy Moore and Travis Watson all died before he did. Errett Young, his father, also died before him.
Larry has four grandchildren: Isabelle, Francesca, Henry, and Beatrice Kostelnick. He also leaves behind his daughter Ayrrin (John) Kostelnick of El Paso, Illinois. He is also survived by his two sisters, Barbara (Mike) Barker and Cindy Watson, his girlfriend of life, Luann Bechtel, and a big group of relatives.
Larry really liked sports. He liked to fish, look for berries, and shoot deer and pheasants for fun. His shooting skills were perfect. Larry liked to bowl competitively and would often go to Imperial Lanes. He finally went on Jim Zabel’s show “Let’s Go Bowling.” Larry would spend a lot of time with his daughter at the field while they watched games.
