The individual who perished in a high-speed pursuit in Missouri on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, has been identified by law enforcement. A automobile accident that occurred in south St. Louis County on Wednesday morning resulted in the death of one individual. According to authorities, the collision occurred at approximately 1 a.m. on Southbound I-55, approximately one mile north of Lindbergh.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the motorist lost control of the vehicle after evading a St. Louis County officer. The vehicle overturned after driving off the left side of the roadway. The driver, 21-year-old Lucas Menz, of St. Louis, was declared deceased at the site. The southbound lanes of I-55 at Reavis Barracks were closed for hours as a result of the accident; however, they have since reopened.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the collision occurred shortly after midnight on Wednesday near the South Lindbergh Boulevard exit on I-55 South. After “failing to yield” to a St. Louis County police officer, the driver was traveling at a high rate of speed down I-55 when the vehicle lost control, overturned, and traveled off the left side of the roadway.
