Matt Napolitano Death – According to his spouse, Matt Napolitano, a sports reporter and presenter for Fox News Radio, passed away on December 23.
Napolitano was thirty-three.
“With a heavy heart, I have to share that my husband, @MattNapolitano, passed away yesterday morning,” Ricky Whitcomb wrote on his Christmas Eve post. “He loved his job and he loved bringing the news to your radios and televisions.”
Whitcomb claimed in his social media posts that Napolitano passed away from an illness after having an autoimmune disorder for almost 20 years.
In May 2023, the couple tied the knot, as per posts on social media.

Over the long weekend, Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott informed the workforce of the news.
“Matt did everything from anchoring to writing and producing for our audio platforms and loved being able to work in the journalism field that he trained for his entire life,” the memo that was provided to USA TODAY stated.
In a separate message, Scott said that Adam Petlin, Fox’s head of Chicago bureau operations, had died that same day.
“(Napolitano) demonstrated his talent outside the studio as well, placing second on Jeopardy! and reaching the Wheel of Fortune bonus round, but throughout his tenure at Fox, we were fortunate enough to benefit from his love of journalism,” Scott remarked.
According to Scott’s statement, Napolitano began working at Fox News in 2015 and left for a short while before returning to his most recent position as an update anchor for Fox News Audio.

Known by his stage name “Matty Naps,” Out Sports dubbed Napolitano a “rising gay star in radio and sports media.”
Napolitano is reportedly working on all of Fox News’ audio platforms. According to Scott’s statement, he did voiceover packages for several Fox affiliates and contributed sports tales to “Cavuto Coast to Coast”.
Prior to joining Fox, the Hofstra University alumnus worked at Merlin Media and TMZ, according to Out Sports.
“Napolitano didn’t lead his public life with being gay, and he didn’t shy away from it, marrying the love of his life, Whitcomb, earlier this year and sharing pro-LGBTQ messages on social media,” According to Out Sports, Whitcomb hailed a “beautiful write up on Matt and his accomplishments.”
According to Out Sports, online remembrances of Napolitano characterized him as a wonderful friend and helpful coworker.
