Kirkland C. Warren, 28, was charged on Monday with violating a protection order, unlawful possession of a firearm of a second-class nature, and tampering with witnesses when he appeared in Clark County Superior Court. The court asked for further details on the new allegations, so his hearing was tabled until Tuesday.
Assistant District Attorney Scott Ikata requested Judge John Fairgrieve to take detaining Warren without bail into consideration before he closed the case. On the other hand, he requested that the judge raise Warren’s bail from $100,000 to $500,000. Megan Payton, the defense counsel, pleaded with Fairgriff to maintain his current bond.
