EFCC Arrests Alleged Currency Speculator.

An individual identified as currency speculator Mustapha Muhammed alias Muaspaha Naira has been detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Wilson Uwujaren, the EFCC’s spokesperson, said in a statement on Tuesday, November 15, that the arrest was a part of the agency’s continuous effort to purge the foreign currency market of speculators and all types of economic saboteurs.

The suspect was picked up by operatives of the Commission on Saturday November 12, 2022 at Wuse Zone 4, the hub of parallel market operations in the Federal Capital Territory.

The suspect has made useful statement while the investigation continues.
