The passing of our mother, Norma, has left our family in great sorrow. All who knew her will sadly miss the beautiful mother and extraordinary woman that she was.
Mom was one of them. She was kind, giving, and always optimistic. Her enthusiasm and enthusiasm are infectious. She enjoys showing kindness and is constantly encouraging. She is a dedicated friend, the ideal hostess, and possesses the exceptional ability to make everyone she encounters feel important and at ease.
Mom was devoted to her family’s sports teams and had an everlasting devotion for them. She has been with our dad Lamar through it all, from the AFL and NFL merger to the foundation of Major League Soccer, the World Championship Tennis, the North American Soccer League, and Her original investment in the Chicago Bulls. She is the only individual we are aware of who shares his passion for the game. The two are extremely happy together, whether they are together at home or in stadium stands all around the world.
She participated in her 57th and final Super Bowl in February, and she witnessed her favorite Chiefs win the Lombardi Trophy three times. It was an appropriate way to conclude her winning streak because she was the only woman to have participated in every Super Bowl.
It is a great comfort to us to know that she is with the Lord because of her peaceful and steadfast faith, which supported her throughout her life. Our family, the Chiefs and FC Dallas families, as well as everyone who knew her, will miss her dearly. She was a dedicated friend, a perfect hostess, and possessed a special talent for making everyone she encountered feel important and at ease.
Following the revelation, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell also released a statement. The statement read, “Norma Hunt was vital to the NFL over the past seven years. The whole NFL family is deeply saddened by her passing.
I’ve had the good fortune to know Norma for close to 40 years, and I’ve always been struck by how gracious and loving she is, how well-suited she is to Lamar, and how proud she is of her family. The Chiefs are part of Norma’s extended family, and she is a huge admirer of this group.
“Norma is one of the most ardent supporters of the Chiefs and the NFL; she is knowledgeable about and enthralled by every facet of the game. She adores the group and describes the members as “true superheroes.” The cause of death was kept private.
