Rachel Reeves, age 69 died of illness.
It is with the deepest sadness and shock that we have to report that Rachel Reeves went to be with the Lord last night.
We found out about the recent death of Publisher Of Miami Times, Rachel Reeves Today. This was made known to us through the tributes posted on social media platforms by friends and family.
If you don’t mind receive our most profound sympathy during this period.
Rachael Reeves, who died Thursday at 69 after battling a long illness, is the daughter of Garth Reeves Sr. and the granddaughter of the late Henry Reeves, the Bahamian printer who founded The Miami Times newspaper in 1923.
Rachel Reeves is a member of a black-owned family newspaper dynasty built in Miami nearly 100 years ago.
She studied English literature at Bennett College in North Carolina but unlike her grandfather, father and brother, had no real interest in writing for a newspaper.
Praise the life of the deceased, leave a benevolent word for him. Companions, Family and Friends and family has spilled out their lament and sympathy to respect the passing ceaselessly of the expired.
Our condolences go out to the family and friends of Rachel Reeves. Rachel was a true pioneer who led by example in her actions, deeds, and work. Her legacy will forever inspire future leaders in #Miami and beyond. via @MiamiHerald https://t.co/K3R1FlswLU
