According to officials, three juveniles were murdered in an automobile accident in Cullman County on Friday morning when the vehicle they were riding in veered off the road, struck a tree, and caught fire.
According to Adam Hadder, assistant police chief with the Hanceville Police Department, the collision occurred between 1:30 and 2 in the morning near County Road 549 and Highway 91. Since then, a fourth casualty has been evacuated to a neighboring hospital, where it is not yet known what condition they are in.
According to Hadder, it seems the victims were not natives of Cullman County.
Hadder asserts that it appears the victims’ car had been moving quickly prior to the collision. The victims’ names have not been made public because the coroner has not yet notified the families of the victims.
At noon, there will be a prayer vigil for the victims at Blountsville’s Susan Moore High School.
More details will be added to this story as they become available.
