Michelle Simmons Obituary News; Michelle Simmons Death – Cause of Death

Deanna “Michelle” Simmons, 34, of Fayetteville passed away at her home on November 10, 2022, and was joined by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Michelle was born on November 7, 1988, in Clinton, New York, to Ronnie and Barbara Simmons. Michelle grew raised in Autryville with her parents and older brother, Brandon. She was named Miss Lakewood High School in 2007, graduated from Lakewood High School in the top ten of her class, was chosen as one of her classmates’ “best personalities,” and received recognition for having perfect attendance from kindergarten through the 12th grade. She was also crowned Miss Relay for Life in 2006.

After enrolling at Methodist University, Michelle participated in the founding of the sorority Alpha Delta Pi. Michelle was crowned Miss Methodist University in 2009. In 2011, she finished with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education.

Michelle dedicated her life to improving the lives of children with special needs since she had a deep passion for those individuals. Michelle worked as a special education teacher for 11 years at Margaret Willis Elementary School and Max Abbott Middle School in Cumberland County. She also spent her after-school hours tutoring students at the Huntington Learning Center.

Michelle was a committed member of the Fayetteville Epicenter Church’s children’s ministry and outreach program.
