Members of the Ahmed Markafi faction of the Peoples Democratic Party are still jubilant over the Appeal Court ruling that granted Eyitayo Jegede leave to appeal the High Court ruling that ordered the candidacy of Jimoh Ibrahim as the candidate of the PDP in the November 26th, governorship election. Some jubilant youths thronged the party’s secretariat in Akure to celebrate the appellate court ruling. The youths led by the factional youth leader, Adebayo Abayomi, said they were happy that there is hope that Jegede will participate in the election. They are optimistic that the party would come out victorious at the poll, saying Ibrahim is being used to destabilise the PDP.
