A lady is charged with driving into a family’s home while reportedly having three times the legal limit of alcohol in her system and seriously destroying it. The family narrowly escaped suffering serious harm.
The couple and their eight-month-old infant were already in bed when a car struck their home in Seville, which is east of Melbourne.
The female motorist allegedly lost control of her car on the Warburton Highway before ramming into the house.
The car smashed through the front wall, into the living room, into another car in the garage, and finally came to rest in the backyard, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.
Fortunately, nobody was harmed.
The house was so badly damaged by the crash that the family was forced to spend the night with friends.
