Paul Di’Anno Death: Former Iron Maiden Vocalist Dies At Age 66

Paul Di’Anno Death: Paul Di’Anno, the iconic singer of Iron Maiden, has passed away at the age of 66 in his home located in Salisbury, Wiltshire. The artist, widely recognized by his stage name, Paul Andrews, served as the original lead vocalist for the legendary band Iron Maiden during their performances. A statement from the record company representing Paul Di’Anno reads: “Conquest Music, on behalf of his family, is saddened to confirm the passing of Paul Andrews, known professionally as Paul Di’Anno.”

Paul, aged 66 at the time of his passing, was found deceased at his residence in Salisbury. Paul first gained fame as the frontman of the English heavy metal band Iron Maiden from 1978 to 1981. Born on May 17th, 1958, in Chingford, a town in Northeast London, he has roots that trace back to this vibrant area. His vocal contributions to the band’s groundbreaking debut album, Iron Maiden, and their impactful follow-up album, Killers, were significant. Since departing from Iron Maiden, Paul Di’Anno has maintained a long and vibrant recording career. He has put out several solo albums and made numerous guest appearances. Throughout his career, he has also been involved with Battlezone and Killers.

“Paul has captivated audiences globally, amassing over one hundred performances since 2023, even while navigating serious health challenges that required him to take the stage in a wheelchair.” In September 2024, he unveiled his inaugural career retrospective album, aptly named The Book of the Beast. This album features key selections from his recordings following his departure from Iron Maiden. We invite all of Paul Di’Anno’s devoted fans to join us in celebrating his legacy by raising a glass in his honour. We are pleased to have had him as part of our team of artists.
