BOCOG commends Governor Akeredolu on LGA Election
The decision of the Government of Ondo State to conduct the local government election on Saturday 1st December, 2018 has been commended by Buhari/Osinbajo Continuity Group BOCOG, Ondo State chapter.
The group after deliberation, particularly showers encomium on the Governor, Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu SAN for keeping to his election promise to conduct the local government election.
The Coordinator of BOCOG in Ondo State, Rt. Hon. Ayo Agbomuserin said “this is the first time in over eight years that a governor would have the political will and interest of the people at heart by conducting local government election in less than 2 years in office”. He said with this pronouncement, Arakunrin Akeredolu has demonstrated a rare leadership quality, etched his name in history and deserve our commendation”.
The group believes that if the local government election is conducted in the state, it would boost the confidence in the All Progressives Congress (APC) and earn the party the trust of the electorates in going into the general elections in 2019.
BOCOG whose membership are spread across the thirty six States of the federation with National Headquarters in Abuja is optimistic that President Muhammadu Buhari is going to win his second term in office based on his remarkable track records in the last three and a half years in office. The president has performed excellently well enough to deserve overwhelming support of the electorates for a return mandate.
The group therefore encourages Nigerians who are yet to register to do so, while those who have not gotten their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) to also endeavour to get it before it closes. This is the only power at their disposal to sustain good governance as exemplified by Buhari/Osinbajo administration.
