Scott Hall Death And Obituary – I received the news of Scott Hall’s passing with sadness. Although Scott and I were not particularly close in his final years, I cherish the memories of our time spent as friends.
I can remember so many sweet and funny stories from our time together. Before I even met Scott, I think he had already been carrying a lot of heavy crosses for a very long time. Even before he gained notoriety as Razor Ramon, Owen counted him as a reliable buddy. Although battling life can be a lot of fun, it also has the ability to take everything you have. I will never forget Scott’s calm, dry sense of humor when things were better and his gentle playfulness with my sons. I shall always remember those times. We had a lot of wins because of how hard he worked.
One of my favorite matches was against him in the 1993 King of the Ring and the Royal Rumble. I can’t help but smile when I recall all of the fantastic matches he had with individuals like Owen, Davey Boy, Sean Waltman (123 Kid), and Shawn Michaels. This is just one more wrestler from my era to add to a list that is already much too long of wrestlers who have died away. I won’t single out a particular cause.
But I do think that many of my old friends and brothers would still be alive now if the days of wrestling 300 days a year had been gentle and compassionate, and if we had been able to spend more time at home with our loved ones. I won’t single out anything, but I firmly believe that. The fact that so many people thought the world of Scott and would genuinely miss him makes me think that Scott would be delighted to know that. There must be one more boxer. A lovely machine that left us far too soon. In this difficult time, my thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and loved ones.
