Before Fabrizio Romano announced that Chelsea and Leeds United had reached an agreement on a price, David Ornstein of The Athletic initially revealed that Chelsea were close to reaching an agreement on a price.

Recently, it was rumored that Brazil’s national team’s arch-rivals Arsenal were the favorites to sign the player, but Chelsea has suddenly hijacked the deal, giving their transfer activity a significant boost.

Raheem Sterling and Nathan Ake are both the subjects of ongoing discussions with Manchester City, and everything there is going smoothly. Following the rejection of their initial offer for the English winger, Chelsea is contemplating a second one.

Sterling, who spent seven of his formative years at the Queens Park Rangers academy, is thought to be interested on a move to Chelsea and is familiar with West London.

they are not in a position to even come close to matching Leeds’ valuation.

It’s a good day if you are a Chelsea fan

After months of uncertainty, things are falling back into place at Stamford Bridge. Between Chelsea, Arsenal and Barcelona, the Blues were always in the best position to strike a deal.

Arsenal, even if they had agreed upon a fee with Leeds, wouldn’t have Champions League football to offer, something which Raphinha is hoping for at his next club.

With the Sterling deal on track too, Chelsea will have serious attacking options going into the next season – two Premier League proven elite-level players.

The Boehly-Clearlake administration is clearly putting their money where their mouths are, which is very promising to see in these early days of their ownership.
