Stylianos Karayanis Death – The Ipswich legend Stylianos (Stan) Karayanis passed away quietly last week. He was 90 years old at the time of his passing. We are now keeping his friends and family in our thoughts and prayers. Please remember them in your prayers and thoughts.
Stan resided on the corner of South and Thorn Streets for a lot of years, waving to passing cars and flashing his infectious smile.Stan, RIP. You won’t be forgotten about… This guy, who was formerly from Ipswich, was born in Pireaus, Greece. She died quietly and without any difficulties on July 2, 2023. 90 years old and still going strong.
He was an affectionate father and father-in-law of Sophia and Anthony, Mary, and James, as well as the beloved spouse of Kathleen, who predeceased him. John, Stelios and Eleni, Ellene and George, Kathleen, and Alex were all in love with their Papou. Andoni, Sofia, and Mihali’s great grandfather. He was the beloved brother of Despina, Eftihia, and Nick, all of whom passed away before him.
Stan’s funeral service will take place in the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George on Edmondstone Street in South Brisbane on Friday, July 14, 2023 at 10:00 AM. We gladly invite loved ones and friends to the service. The Greek Ethnic School of St. George would be grateful for any cash contributions given in memory of the deceased in place of traditional floral tributes.
