Will Ranveer Singh Participate in Another Naked Photo Shoot to Support Veganism?

After his controversial photos for Paper Magazine that received both praise and criticism, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India has contacted Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh for another naked picture shoot.

Ranveer Singh has received a new offer to “pose in his birthday suit” thanks to the hype the actor created with his nude picture shoot for Paper Magazine. He has accepted an invitation to participate in the “All Animals Have the Same Parts – Try Vegan” campaign from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India, a Mumbai-based animal rights organization. It aims to persuade individuals to adopt a vegan lifestyle for the benefit of all living things, their personal health, and a smaller carbon footprint that would help the earth as a whole in the face of global warming.

We spoke with Sachin Bangera, PETA India Vice President of Celebrity and Public Relations, to discover more about the prospective campaign even though Singh has not yet accepted the offer or made a public remark in response to the invitation. In order to “promote compassion for animals,” Bangera signed the letter requesting that Singh “dump the pants.”

Why did Ranveer Singh get contacted by PETA India for this nude picture shoot?

Bollywood superstar Ranveer is. He is adored and esteemed by the public. He recently admitted to being on a vegan diet for his part in the Karan Johar-directed movie Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani during one of his conversations with fans on Instagram. We believed he would be ideal given this knowledge and his naked photo shoot with Paper Magazine. He is at ease being naked, so we assumed he would be willing to do it for a worthwhile cause.

What photographer have you hired for the project you wish to work on with him?

On our staff, we have a number of outstanding photographers, including Rohan Shrestha, Errikos Andreou, Colston Julian, Jatin Kampani, Dabboo Ratnani, and Atul Kasbekar. Depending on who he feels comfortable working with, Ranveer could choose any of them.

Do you anticipate Ranveer Singh accepting this as a volunteer project?

Yes, that is accurate. Every celebrity who works with PETA in India and around the world donates their time and services. They have the gratification of exerting their power and voice for something worthwhile in return. They also receive publicity and mileage. Ranveer will aid in our effort to spread the message that animals are not food by taking part in this picture session. They have feelings, personalities, and they live with their families. In the past, we have collaborated with famous people to promote meatless meals, including Anushka Sharma, Kartik Aaryan, Natalie Portman, and many others. We’re hoping Ranveer will come along.

Women, including Pamela Anderson, Alicia Silverstone, Maggie Q, Roselyn Sanchez, Eva Mendes, and Khloe Kardashian, frequently appear in PETA’s nude photo sessions. Is Ranveer going to be the first man to strip off in support of PETA? Did other men carry it out?

He will be the first to do so in India, but many other guys from around the world have already participated in our nudist photo shoots to support veganism and animal rights. We’ve collaborated with a lengthy list of well-known, kind men who have dressed simply for our advertisements. Bret Lockett, Chad Ochocinco, Tony Gonzalez, Dave Navarro, Ty Lawson, Jake Shields, Owain Yeoman, David Cross, and Wills McGahee are a few of them.

During the marketing for her film Darlings, Ranveer’s close friend and actress Alia Bhatt defended his nude photoshoot with Paper Magazine. She denounced trolls throughout her speech. In 2021, she was named PETA India’s Person of the Year. Did she tell you to go talk to Ranveer?

Although we are happy of our relationship with Alia, we chose to ask Ranveer for this campaign only because we were impressed by his naked picture shoot with Paper Magazine and his admission that he was eating only vegan food for his upcoming movie. With his entertaining, fearless demeanor, he would make a fantastic role model, therefore we hope he says yes.

After the magazine pictures went viral on social media, the police filed a FIR against him. It was based on an accusation that he had offended women’s feelings and violated their sense of modesty. Given the potential for legal issues, do you think he will say yes?

We understand about the FIR. Being naked is a normal condition of being. Nothing about it is obscene or shocking. It all comes down to what and how you want to see things in the end. Our goal is obvious. We want to get across the idea that, like people, animals also want to live pain-free lives. We believe that Ranveer’s presence can assist us in spreading this message widely through a campaign utilizing both print and digital media. Additionally, we’d want to have an electronic interview with him so that he may discuss the advantages to his health that a vegan diet has provided. Others would be motivated by this.
