A “sonic boom” private plane catastrophe claimed the lives of the Republican contributor and NRA executive’s daughter and granddaughter; a different daughter perished in a different tragedy nearly 30 years earlier.
Victoria Rumpel, the 19-year-old daughter of John and Barbara Rumpel, perished in a tragic diving mishap in 1994. In East Farmingdale, New York, in St. Charles Cemetery, she was laid to rest.
The diving incident’s few specifics haven’t been made widely known. When Rumpels’ name was used once more on Sunday, the incident was brought back into the public eye. When the family’s plane passed over Washington, D.C., another daughter, a grandchild, and a nanny perished. In Virginia, crashed, firing down the fighter.
In honor of their daughter, Victoria, the Rumpel family purchased an 11-story building in Melbourne and turned it into a senior living community called Victoria Landing.
The heartfelt homage read, “Victoria Landing is named after Victoria Rumpel.” Victoria, John’s daughter, unfortunately perished in a diving accident at the age of nineteen. John gave Victoria Landing the name in honor of his daughter.
In order to remember Victoria and celebrate all that life can and should be, it is our duty to make Victoria Landing the best it can be. Life is too valuable.
