Alexandra Ianculescu has already competed in the Olympics and was named to Romania’s speed skating team in 2018. She now aspires to be one of the rare Olympians to compete in both the Winter and Summer Games.
Ianculescu is now focused on the 2024 Olympics, which will be held in Paris. She wishes to compete for the Canadian Cycling Team. However, in order to pursue her dream, she pursued an exciting career. This is the source of revenue she utilizes to pay for her studies and preparation.
In 2021, Ianculescu created an account on OnlyFans. She stated that the site “completely funded” her dream. She had previously worked as a personal trainer, but time constraints pushed her to choose a different career route.
The Olympian has previously participated as a speed skater, but her path to the Winter Olympics was unusual. She was a late draft pick who was initially told she was ineligible. Because of the late start, she only had four weeks to prepare for the Olympics, and her performance reflected the shorter preparation period. Ianculescu was the last player to finish her game.
“You can’t sharpen a knife at the last minute,” she remarked. “I stepped off the ice and began crying.” I knew it wasn’t the best decision I could make.”
This will not happen again, according to Janculescu. She began her preparations as soon as possible, which was crucial considering the shift from speed skating to cycling.
This meant doing double workouts, as well as hours of cycling and gym time. Those extra classes increased her time spent preparing for summer sports.
Alexandra Ianculescu sells the rights to use the images on her website to cover these expenditures. She discussed her decision to use OnlyFans in a pinned Instagram post dated November 2022.
“I thought it was an appropriate post to share today because I get asked this question all the time,” Ianculescu started. “I started this account last summer because I kept getting crazy likes on bikini photos and people suggested I sell them on this platform.” I thought it was the funniest thing ever and didn’t want to be associated with selling ‘bikini photos.’ Famous individuals because I worked incredibly hard as an athlete, worked hard on my schooling, spoke numerous languages, and truly enjoyed and valued the image of myself I constructed.
“It really transformed my life after making money the first month I was there… I now enjoy working full-time, providing myself with trips to places I can’t even imagine visiting in the near future, buying my dream bike, saving money for my dream car, and enjoying it doesn’t mean I have to sacrifice my sporting life to work three part-time jobs like I used to while pursuing my Olympic dream.”
While the accounts represent changes in her income, they are not unlike her personal life. She stated that she always posts images of herself exercising or having fun at the beach. She is now just paid.
