The two dogs killed by London police were owned by a homeless man who held a vigil for them outside Scotland Yard yesterday night. He told 200 supporters that the canines had been “murdered” while being led on a leash.
In court earlier this week, Louie Turnbull, 46, was charged with possessing a dog that was dangerously out of control after being abused and being arrested. After hearing that a woman had just been assaulted, armed men opened fire on and killed the “escape” animals Millions and Marshall on Sunday in east London. Nevertheless, some onlookers who observed the woman claimed that she tripped but wasn’t gravely hurt.
Around 8 o’clock in the evening, about 200 members of Animal Rising, the group that disrupted Grand National the previous month, took part in a demonstration outside police headquarters. They chanted “no justice, they have no peace!” and yelled “rapists and murderers” at the passing officers. “We murder canines in the street.” Many lit vegan candles, many people brought their own dogs, and some even sobbed.
Turnbull informed the audience that “they were all holding guns.” They terrorized the dogs and I. They merely shielded me. They killed her after I leashed her and hauled her away. During Friday night’s protest, a dog was spotted close to a banner that said, “RIP Marshall + Millions.” A video of Mr. Turnbull and his dog having a private moment has recently emerged, while a different video purports to show the animals arguing with another pet in the street a few days earlier.
