An influencer with 13.5 million TikTok followers quit TikTok after complaining about how tough her job was.
Beauty guru Mikayla Nogueira is facing criticism after resurfaced this month in a video that has been deleted since 2021. In the clip, Nogueira hits back at a comment telling her to “report 9-5 to work.” The influencer claims she actually works from 6am to 5pm, but her comeback has not been well received by fans.
Who is Mikaela Nogueira?
Nogueira is a 24-year-old beauty influencer living in Boston. She holds a degree in Communication from Bryant University. This was followed by celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Addison Rae and Jeffree Star.
The influencer launched her TikTok page in 2020 after she was fired by Ulta during the pandemic.
“I wake up at 6 am every day. I spend about five to six hours shooting video content that is between three to four videos long, and then I spend a few hours editing that video content. Then I have to work on my other Social media profiles, whatever,” she said in the deleted video, according to PopCrush.
TikToker @filtrayascamgueira posted a clip of her saying, “I just finished work and it’s 5:19. Try being an influencer for a day. Give it a try.” It’s now being criticized on TikTok.
“I make 12 hours of mugs a day. Blessed are you Mikaela girl! Please don’t complain,” @jackieb_11 wrote in the video caption.
“I would love to try to be a Mikayla influencer for a day,” @thatcrystallover2 wrote in the video. “Because I was working two jobs from 5am to 9pm when you were sitting in a $1 million house and lying to people about makeup. That’s how I could afford rent and groceries. While you can Do what I do in a year in a week.”
“It’s disappointing to see Mikayla Nogueira as a disjointed influencer like everyone else. She complains about how hard it is for her to work when most of us only earn enough to make ends meet, some working 12 hours and still can’t pay the bill,” @fleurmeme22 tweeted.
