Louis School Shooting Update: Alexzandria Bell, a student from St. Louis, Missouri, and Jean Kuczka, a teacher, were shot and killed on Monday at Central High School for the Visual and Performing Arts. Their deaths left their families in mourning.
The shooting, which is reported to have been committed by a former pupil, also left a number of others hurt. Popular PE instructor and cross-country coach Jean Kuczka is well-liked.
In addition, she is married, a mother of five, and a grandma of seven.
According to her school profile, she enjoys cycling and takes part in a cycle every year to raise money for juvenile diabetes in honor of her son who has the disease.
Her biography says she enjoys “guiding students to make informed decisions.”
“My mom is my best friend,” her daughter Abbey Kuczka told ABC News.
“I think we’re still in shock,” she said, adding, “I think it’s comforting to hear all these stories from her students and know how loved she is.”
Alexzandria Bell, a sophomore who loves to dance, plans to start cooking school in high school, her father Andre Bell told Los Angeles-based ABC radio station KABC.
“She thought a lot about her plans, so I stood behind her,” he said.
The bright and charismatic teenager, a dance major, attended a performing arts middle school, principal Kacy Seals-Shahid told the St. Louis Post-Post.
