After the tragic events at Nashville’s Covenant School, which resulted in the deaths of 3 children and 3 adults, Josselyn Berry, the spokeswoman for Arizona’s new Democratic governor Katie Hobbs, came under fire from conservatives for posting a GIF of actress Gena Rowlands brandishing two handguns on Twitter with the caption: “Us when we see transphobes.”
“Less than 12 hours after the horrible shooting in Nashville by a crazed transgender activist Katie Hobbs’ Press Secretary calls for shooting those Democrats disagree with Calling for violence like this is un-American & never acceptable,” the right-wing Arizona Freedom Caucus tweeted on Tuesday. Josselyn Berry has to be let go right away.
Less than 12 hours after a crazy transgender activist shot dead 12 people in Nashville, @katiehobbs’ press secretary advocates killing Democrats.
Berry’s post was later deleted, and her account was made private.

Josselyn Berry: Who is she?
Since March 2020, Josselyn Berry has served as the Arizona State Senate’s director of communications. Prior to that, she served as the program manager for Arizona Wins and the executive director of Progress Now Arizona. As a communications coordinator for Arizona Advocacy Network, she had her first full-time position. Together with that, she finished internships with Downtown Phoenix Partnership LLC.
She graduated from Barrett Honors College with a bachelor’s in arts, and Arizona State University awarded her a journalism degree.
According to her LinkedIn profile, she was a driven communications associate with the skills to design, research, develop, and produce articles, position papers, and reports using print, web, and social media to spread political issue message and social justice concepts. Compassionate visionary and autonomous idealist dedicated to completing project and program deadlines that call for creativity, precision, and tenacity.
It is unclear to whom Berry was addressing when she said in an earlier post on Monday regarding transgender rights that if you “work in the progressive community and are transphobic, you’re not progressive.”
Not sure these transphobic-from-the-left posers know who they’re messing with, a Twitter user said, which led to Berry’s comment.
