Who is William Kinney? Nashville School Shooting Victim’s Fundraiser

One of those killed in the tragic shooting on Monday at Nashville’s Covenant School was William Kinney, 9 years old. He has a GoFundMe page set up for him.

Celebrities are giving thousands of dollars to help those affected by the massacre at a primary school in Nashville. The families of the six people killed and several hurt in the incident on Monday had GoFundMe accounts set up.

The Kinney family received $2,000 from former Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, who now resides in Nashville. Donations have poured in for the Kinney family; the fundraiser has already garnered far more than its initial $50,000 goal.

Kaitlyn Bristowe, a former “Bachelorette” contestant, donated $1,000 to a cause that helps the injured people as well as the loved ones of all six victims. Jena Sims, a well-known athlete and the wife of Brooks Koepka, also gave $1,000 to the cause. John Carter Cash, a singer named Johnny Cash, contributed $2,000.

A number of famous people have expressed their outrage over the shooting on social media and urged legislators to tighten gun control laws.

Three kids and three staff members were shot and killed at the Covenant School in Tennessee’s capital city on Monday morning, according to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department. The Covenant School, a private Christian school with 40 to 50 employees teaching students in nursery through sixth grade, enrolls about 209 children.

Police identified the attacker as Audrey Hale, a 28-year-old who is suspected of having previously attended the school. Authorities in Nashville claim that Hale may have opened fire at her former school out of “resentment,” killing three children and three adults in the process.

Although the gunman had no past criminal history, security footage from the school, which was made public by the police, shows the 28-year-old driving to the school in a silver Honda Fit and firing at two glass doors. She brought two assault-style firearms and a nine-millimeter handgun. Hale wore a vest, a hat with the bill facing backward, and cargo pants. Nine-year-olds William Kinney, Evelyn Dieckhaus, and Hallie Scruggs, as well as adult Cynthia Peak, were all identified as victims of the attack on the Nashville school.
