Marston Hefner, son of late Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, is quite possibly the worst guy on the planet. That year, he opened an OnlyF account, selling tasteful and hot nudes, and then used the extra income to fund his habit of collecting Pokémon cards.
In an exclusive interview with Page Six, Hefner explained why he joined OnlyF and said he would rather sell his nudes than engage in pornography because he’s not interested in pornography and the stigma that surrounds it.
“I got involved because I believe there’s nothing wrong with nudity or sex,” Hefner said. “I grew up in an environment where I was told, ‘There’s nothing wrong with being naked.’ It’s normal to be naked.” So I was raised with dudes all over the house. Nudity was the norm growing up. Which brings me to another reason: I really like manga. I really like Pokemon cards. I’m a collector and my Amazing Fantasy Spider-Man [comic] is in this case and it’s a way for me to make some money so I can buy the Pokemon cards I actually want. “
While he didn’t reveal how much money he makes from his OnlyF account, Hefner clarified in an interview with Page Six that he can buy a Pokémon trophy card within six months. You know, like the super rare specimen that sold for $300,000 in April.
“[My OnlyF] didn’t support me,” Hefner said. “It’s mostly fundraising, but it’s a long-term opportunity for continued financial security. Right now all proceeds go to Pokémon cards and comics. It won’t give me the best Pokemon cards, but in the long run, it will Makes a big difference.”
In a phone interview with Kotaku, Hefner explained that the specific Pokémon cards he really wanted were actually a misprint of some OG base sets.
“Having a disco base set was like a typo,” says Hefner. “It’s like The Pokémon Company was thinking about making [more sets like this], but they went with a different design. Still, there were a few sheets, some of those cards, those betas. So of course they’re very rare, and I find them cooler. […] I focus on disco basic sets, but my favorite thing to do is unpack them with my niece.”
Collecting made him more interested in finance and saving money, Hefner said, explaining that the money he’s earned from OnlyF hasn’t bought any tickets yet. However, he does have a google doc to track his finances to see when he can get the card he wants, like a near perfect card or a PSA-10 rating, hehe, that’s a few hundred to a few thousand dollars Dollar.
