According to Pennsylvania state police, a 33-year-old Philadelphia lady was struck by a sizable piece of metal late Monday afternoon on Interstate 95, shattering her car’s windshield.
Around 4:40 p.m., Cara Mia Panichelli was operating a 2014 Subaru Impreza south of Philadelphia close to the Walt Whitman Bridge. According to state police, “a large piece of metal debris” struck the car.
According to state police, “metal passed through the windshield on the Subaru’s driver’s side and struck the victim, causing fatal injuries.”
Late Tuesday afternoon, attempts to reach a State Police spokeswoman for more details on the incident were unsuccessful.
