Nashville’s Rivergate Mall neighborhood Target is currently under fire. thrice in a single week. Gratitude to @BillLeeTN for making firearms more accessible than a fishing license.
Many law enforcement agencies are responding to allegations that a shooter is present at the Target in the RiverGate Mall. Detectives and officers are presently conducting an investigation at the location.
No victims had been named or located as of the time this story was written. No information on the arrest or the suspect has been made public as of yet. The public was encouraged by police to avoid the area.
Plans for a 103,004 square foot store on and around the RiverGate Mall in Goodlettsville have been submitted by BJ’s Wholesale Club.
The plans for BJ’s Wholesale Club are based on a different idea for a mixed-use development on the site of the former Macy’s campus at RiverGate Mall, which has recently undergone renovations and development. What’s known is:
BJ’s Wholesale Club is aimed at members and has been compared to Sam’s Club and Costco in terms of idea. The company website lists 231 sites for BJ’s Wholesale Club spread across 18 states. The proposed BJs location is at 1000 Rivergate Parkway, between the former Sears Building and Vietnam Veterans Road. Tim Ellis, the municipal manager for Goodlettsville, noted that a portion of the structure is located on the mall’s current lot and a portion is on vacant land.
In an email, Ellis stated that the BJ’s wholesale club proposal “may serve as a key catalyst for the redevelopment of the RiverGate/Rivergate Parkway/Gallatin Road area.” Recently, a new BJ’s Wholesale Club location on Adams Lane in Mount Juliet was given the go-ahead.
