Toby Bowden Obituary: How Did Toby Bowden Die, Cause of Death

Toby Bowden Death And Obituary – When the Georgia Department of Public Safety reported that an automobile had failed to move over, Toby Bowden was only performing his official duties as a police officer.

After being detained, Christopher Thornton was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, causing a fatality by car, and violating the legislation requiring drivers to move over. Prior to the accident he was involved in that morning, the GSP claims there was an active warrant for his arrest. In accordance with the testimony provided by state troopers, Bowden was in the left emergency lane, to the north of two backed-up fire vehicles, at around 7 a.m.

on the relevant day. Bowden was helping the emergency personnel clear the site from an earlier collision when they were on the scene. According to the state troopers, Thornton was driving too fast for the circumstances when he approached the firetrucks and veered, losing control and starting to spin in the opposite direction of the clock.

When he struck Bowden, he passed away instantly. Please remember Bowden, his family, his coworkers, and everyone else who knew him in the first response community in your prayers. Keep them in your mind at all times, don’t forget. Although there have been many recent instances of vehicles refusing to move over, the fact that one of them resulted in a man’s death makes this one particularly terrible.
