Mother’s Day, May 9, 2021, saw the discovery of Tristyn Bailey’s remains just hours after his family had reported him missing. She was repeatedly stabbed and slashed.
In relation to Bailey’s killing, Aiden Fucci, then 14, was detained and charged with first-degree murder. Just before the jury selection process starts, in February 2023. Fucci amended his request. He now risks a prison sentence of at least 40 years to life.
Stacy and Forrest Bailey had five children, Tristyn being one of them. She attends Patriot Oaks Academy as a student and cheerleader, and she resides in Durbin Crossing in northwest St. John’s County.

Aiden Patriot Oaks’ classmate Sean Fucci, who was 14 at the time of the murder, lived close to Bailey. Investigators learned from Fucci’s fiancée and other associates that he routinely discussed killing people, specifically that he intended to bring a random person into the woods and knife them. Fucci has no criminal history, according to Seventh Circuit District Attorney RJ Larizza, even though the records of adolescents under the age of 18 are kept under seal.
How Tristin Bailey Passed Away?
According to police investigations, a friend said that Fucci had asked her for Bailey’s phone number the night before she died. He convinced her to leave the house to meet a friend, and surveillance film from an apartment complex captures two individuals—flagged as Fucci and Bailey—walking down Saddlestone Drive, not far from the spot where her body was eventually discovered at the end of the prison pool. The same footage appears to show Fucci returning in soled shoes an hour and 45 minutes later.
According to an unredacted prosecutor affidavit, Tristyn 114 had “stab or laceration wounds to the head, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, and back” at the time of the autopsy. The coroner estimated that 49 of those injuries were caused by the defense.
